For someone who only produced his first track in the spring of last year, Graeme Shepherd aka Grum’ rise to prominence has been one of Justice-style proportions. Since tracks such as “Heartbeats” first started appearing on blogs like Discodust, Grum’s music has been in such demand that HYPE MACHINE recently calculated he was the second most blogged act in the world, behind Radiohead.

In addition to his own material Grum has already remixed the likes of Friendly Fires, Late Of The Pier, Armand Van Helden and Tronik Youth. Recent support of his Friendly Fires mix from A-listers such as Pete Tong, Rob Da Bank and Kissy Sell Out, should guarantee that this “Ibiza-in-a-good-way dancefloor killer” is destined for greatness.

“Runaway is one of those deceptively brilliant pieces of music that, like Daft Punk’s “Around The World” swirls around in your brain refusing to leave. Blissful, bass-heavy and undeniably cool, this is the perfect antidote to heavy-handed Electro-house.

Already selected by Aeroplane for their Mixmag covermount mix in April, this is the kind of record that will survive listening on repeat all through the summer. And with his debut album due in May, this summer highly likely to belong to him.
